NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Hillsboro Planning Commission, at or shortly after 6:00 pm, at their regular meeting on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. This meeting will be held in person in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium at the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, AND remotely via Zoom. The request includes Zone Change approval on one lot approximately 4.54 acres in size. The request is to change the zoning of the property from SCBP Station Community Business Park to SCR-MD Station Community Residential – Medium Density. The proposed SCR-MD zone is an implementing zone of the Station Community Planning Area (SCPA) Comprehensive Plan Designation. The applicant is Wendy Klein, CDP Oregon LLC, represented by Peter Anderson, DOWL.
The subject property can be specifically identified as Tax Lot 1000 on Washington County Assessor’s Tax Map 1N2-35BA and are generally located north of NE Cherry Drive, south of NE Walbridge, east of NE Century Boulevard, and west of NE Cornelius Pass Road.

All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. Members of the public wishing to participate in the meeting through electronic means must pre-register to speak prior to 3:00 pm on the day of the hearing by providing your name, phone number, address, and Zoom account name via email to

Oral testimony will be taken in the following order: applicant; other proponents; opponents; and applicant’s rebuttal. Oral testimony should avoid repetition of issues and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria listed above. Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 197.797 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open, or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant. If you are unable to attend the hearing, you may submit a written statement to the Director at 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, OR 97123, or email Ruth Klein at Ruth.Klein@hillsboro-oregon.gov, on or before the hearing date. Telephone conversations cannot be accepted as testimony. Please reference the Case File No. on all written testimony.
Pursuant to (ORS) 197.797, failure to raise an issue at the final evidentiary hearing, or by close of the record, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
