The City of Beaverton announces the availability of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. These funds are authorized under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.
The City of Beaverton is seeking proposals for the following projects:
• Economic Development
• Public Services
• Critical Home Repair for Low-income Homeowners (includes
manufactured homes in parks as well as site-built homes).
Proposed activities must meet a CDBG National Objective and be in compliance with Washington County Consortium’s 5-year Consolidated Plan for 2025-2029 for the benefit of low and moderate income persons. Goals and Priorities will be reviewed at the mandatory Application Workshop.
For an application to be considered for CDBG funds for program year 2026, an RSVP for the mandatory workshop must be submitted by noon on Friday, December 5, 2025.
To be considered for CDBG funds your agency must either:
1. RSVP and attend the virtual mandatory CDBG workshop scheduled for December 9, 2025, from 10:00am-11:30am
OR
2. Schedule an individual information session prior to the application opening date of December 9, 2025. Submission of an RSVP is still required.
Please indicate with your RSVP if you will be attending the workshop or requesting an in-person information session. Once we have received your RSVP, a calendar invitation along with supporting guidance and a virtual meeting link will be provided. Choosing both options is not required. However, first time applicants are encouraged to request both an individual session and attend the mandatory workshop on December 9 from 10am-11:30am
Applications for all programs areas will be accessible and provided only through attendance of the mandatory workshop and/or information session. Applications will open the morning of Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Completed applications are due at midnight on Wednesday January 14, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted. Notification of funding decisions are anticipated to be sent in June or when HUD informs the city of its CDBG allocation award, whichever is later.
