Provide trauma-informed services (“svcs”) in support of/supervised by attorneys in immigration removal defense & variety of affirmative cases. Conduct legal research; draft legal briefs; investigate; gather facts; obtain U visa certifications & related records; submit FOIAs; assist with other related local svcs. Requires: Associate degree or foreign equiv. in Paralegal or Legal Studies + 2 yrs experience (“exp”) as paralegal/legal assistant with exp in: nonprofit legal svcs; immigration matters including removal/defensive applications, asylum, U&T Visas, VAWA, deferred action, naturalization, green card, family petitions & work permits; preparing immigration forms/supporting documents; providing trauma-informed immigration legal svcs to vulnerable communities.
